TrueVitals
This is us
47–110 biomarkers £159–£349 Venous only AI-powered reporting Medical review

TrueVitals offers four panel tiers with AI-powered cross-system reporting informed by University of Leeds biochemistry research, lifestyle quiz personalisation, and medical professional review on every report. The Ultimate panel (up to 110 biomarkers, £349) is the most comprehensive private blood test available in the UK under £600.

Strengths

  • Medical professional review on every report, no exceptions
  • Venous blood draw only — no finger-prick reliability concerns
  • Up to 110 biomarkers in a single panel
  • Longitudinal AI tracking across multiple tests
  • Klarna available on all panels

Limitations

  • Newer company — smaller review base than established competitors
  • No finger-prick option for people who prefer self-collection
  • Phlebotomy costs extra (£19 clinic / £49 home)
  • Higher entry price than budget finger-prick providers
  • No single-marker or à la carte test selection
  • No physical clinic locations — relies on partner phlebotomy network
Best for: People who want the deepest reporting, AI-powered cross-system analysis, and comprehensive panels — and are willing to pay more for venous collection and structured health intelligence rather than raw results.

  • Both finger-prick and venous collection available
  • Well-established with large customer base and reviews
  • GP comments included on results
  • Frequent promotional discounts (20–30% off)

Choosing

How to choose the right provider

There is no single "best" blood test provider — it depends on what you are looking for. Here are the questions that matter most when deciding.

Do you want raw results or structured health intelligence?

Most providers give you numbers with basic reference ranges. If you want cross-system pattern analysis, AI-powered insight and personalised context, fewer providers offer that depth of reporting.

Finger-prick or venous?

Finger-prick is convenient and cheaper, but produces smaller sample volumes and is less reliable for some markers (full blood count, hormones, some lipids). Venous collection gives laboratories the sample quality needed for comprehensive testing. If you are testing 50+ biomarkers, venous is the better choice.

How many biomarkers do you actually need?

If you only want to check vitamin D or thyroid, a budget provider with a single-marker test is perfectly fine. If you want a comprehensive health picture across hormones, cardiovascular, metabolic, immune, liver, kidney and more — you need a provider that offers 70+ biomarkers with cross-system context.

What happens after you get results?

A spreadsheet of numbers is only useful if you know what to do with it. Consider whether the provider explains results in plain English, identifies patterns across systems, and gives you actionable context — or whether you are left to interpret raw data yourself.

Do you plan to test more than once?

If you plan to track health over time, longitudinal tracking matters. Some providers offer basic dashboards. Others use AI to track how every marker changes, identify trends, and suggest likely explanations for shifts.
