Why at home wins here
The tests that matter most are the fussiest about timing. Cortisol only means something drawn between about 8 and 9am. Fasting insulin and lipids need an overnight fast. Testosterone should be a morning sample. That combination, an 8am fasted appointment, is exactly the one that loses to a 40-minute drive, a car park and a 9am meeting. The home visit removes the reason people postpone it for another year: the phlebotomist arrives, you sit at your own table, and you have breakfast the moment they leave.
