Lola Health Review 2026: Is Peak Insights Worth It?

Lola Health Review
Is It Worth It? (2026)

Short answer: yes, it's good value for a mid-sized panel. Peak Insights 70 gives 70 biomarkers for £235 with a phlebotomist coming to your home, which is cheaper per marker than Medichecks' biggest panel. Look elsewhere if you want insulin resistance markers or Lp(a), which its product page doesn't list, or a finger-prick kit for a full panel.

Facts checked on lolahealth.com and Trustpilot, October 2026. Written by James Smillie, founder of TrueVitals, a competitor: see our bias statement below.

What It Does Well

What Lola Health does well

Value per marker. Peak Insights is 70 biomarkers for £235 with a draw, about £3.36 per marker, cheaper than Medichecks' 59-marker Optimal Health at £284.

Home phlebotomist at no premium. A phlebotomist visit costs the same £35 as a clinic draw, which is convenient if you'd rather not travel.

Broad hormone and thyroid coverage. Peak Insights lists testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, oestradiol, DHEA-S, cortisol, FSH, LH, prolactin and progesterone, plus Free T3 and both thyroid antibodies.

App and exports. Results arrive by email and in Lola's iOS and Android apps, which track trends over time and let you download a PDF or CSV for your GP.

Regulation. Lola displays CQC registration and uses UKAS-accredited (ISO 15189) partner labs.

Limitations

Where Lola Health falls short

Missing markers. The Peak Insights product page doesn't list Lp(a), fasting insulin, HOMA-IR or homocysteine. Lola's blog describes Peak Insights as including some of these, so if they matter to you, check with Lola before buying.

Written review only. A GMC-registered doctor comments on your results, but Lola says its doctors don't offer consultations, medical advice or diagnoses, and it doesn't prescribe.

Booking. Lola says phlebotomy appointments are typically scheduled within 2–5 working days, weekends aren't currently available, and rescheduling within 24 hours costs £20.

Mixed turnaround messaging. The Peak Insights page says results in 2 working days on the product card and 4 working days in the FAQ.

Fewer reviews. Its Trustpilot rating is Excellent, but from around 180 reviews, far fewer than larger providers.

Smaller tests (Male Hormones Clarity 14 from £110, Thyroid & Hormonal Function £119, Blood Health 6 £89) can be done with a finger-prick or Tasso+ self-collection kit.

Verdict

Who should, and shouldn't, use Lola Health

Lola Health is a good choice if:

You want a solid mid-sized panel at a good price. You want a phlebotomist to come to your home. Hormones, thyroid and cortisol matter most to you. You like tracking results in an app.

Look elsewhere if:

You want insulin resistance (fasting insulin, HOMA-IR), Lp(a) or homocysteine confirmed in your panel. You want a finger-prick kit for a full panel. You need weekend appointments. You want a clinician to interpret your results as a whole rather than comment on out-of-range markers.

Alternatives

How Lola Health compares

Against Medichecks, Lola gives more biomarkers for less in its main panel, while Medichecks has more individual tests and finger-prick kits. For every option, see Lola Health alternatives and our Medichecks review.

We make one of the alternatives, so weigh this accordingly. TrueVitals Ultimate: 140 biomarkers (139 for women), £349 + £19 clinic draw or £39 home visit, venous sample, Nationwide Pathology (UKAS-accredited), clinician-reviewed report within 4 working days, 103 partner clinics. That is £368 all-in with a clinic draw (£2.63 per biomarker), and it includes fasting insulin with HOMA-IR, Lp(a), cystatin C, coeliac screening and tumour markers. It costs £133 more than Peak Insights with a draw, has no finger-prick option, and you book your draw by phone after paying.

How we reviewed (and our bias)

We reviewed Lola Health using only what its own website and its Trustpilot page showed on 16 October 2026; we did not buy a test for this review. Where Lola's pages disagree with each other we say so. Prices change, so check before you buy. TrueVitals competes with Lola Health; we've led with its strengths and said plainly where we are not the right choice.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Lola Health legit?
Yes. Lola Health displays Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration on its site, uses UKAS-accredited (ISO 15189) UK partner laboratories, and has results reviewed by GMC-registered doctors. It is rated Excellent (4.5) on Trustpilot from around 180 reviews (checked October 2026).
How much does Lola Health cost?
Prices checked October 2026: Peak Insights 70 from £200, Vital Check 56 from £155, Core Health 45 from £125, Female Active Boost 39 £145, Male Active Boost 36 £140. Those prices assume you arrange your own phlebotomist; an at-home phlebotomist or clinic draw adds £35, so Peak Insights is £235 and Core Health £160 with a draw.
What does Lola Peak Insights 70 include?
Its product page lists full blood count, iron studies, liver and kidney function, cholesterol with ApoB and ApoA1, HbA1c, hsCRP, uric acid, thyroid (TSH, Free T4, Free T3, TPO and Tg antibodies), sex hormones including testosterone, oestradiol, SHBG and DHEA-S, cortisol, PSA for men, vitamin D, active B12, folate, magnesium, CK and IgE. It does not list Lp(a), fasting insulin or homocysteine.
How long do Lola Health results take?
Lola's FAQ says Peak Insights 70 results are typically ready within 4 working days of the lab receiving your sample, and most other tests within 2 working days. Its phlebotomy appointments are typically scheduled within 2–5 working days, and weekend appointments are not currently available.
Does a doctor review Lola Health results?
Yes, a GMC-registered doctor writes a review of your results, focusing on markers outside the normal range. Lola says its doctors don't offer consultations, medical advice or diagnoses, and it doesn't prescribe medication or supplements.
What is the best alternative to Lola Health?
If you want a finger-prick kit or a single specific test, Medichecks has more choice. If you want a broader single panel, TrueVitals Ultimate tests 140 biomarkers (139 for women), including fasting insulin, HOMA-IR and Lp(a), for £349 plus a £19 clinic draw, with a clinician-reviewed report within 4 working days. It costs more than Peak Insights and has no finger-prick option.
